About The SaaS Worker
The SaaS Worker exists because most software review sites cannot be trusted.
They are built by marketing agencies optimising for commissions. They rank tools based on who pays the most, not what works best. They are written by people who have never run a small business and have no idea what it actually costs when you pick the wrong tool.
We built this site to fix that.
Who We Are
We are small business operators. We have run e-commerce stores, service businesses, and online operations. We have wasted money on software that promised the world and delivered nothing. We know what it feels like to be sold a tool that is built for a 50-person team when you are a team of one.
The SaaS Worker is our answer to that problem. Every tool we review is evaluated from one perspective only: is this actually worth it for a small business owner who just wants to get more done?
What We Do
We publish independent reviews, comparisons, and buying guides for AI and SaaS tools. We focus specifically on tools that are relevant to small businesses, solo operators, freelancers, and early-stage entrepreneurs.
We test tools ourselves. We report honestly on what works and what does not. We tell you who each tool is right for — and who it is not right for.
How We Make Money
We believe in full transparency. The SaaS Worker earns revenue through affiliate commissions — when you click a link on our site and sign up for a tool, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
This is how we keep the site running and the reviews free.
However, affiliate relationships never influence our recommendations. We only recommend tools we genuinely believe in. If a tool is not good enough to recommend to a friend running a small business, it does not appear on this site regardless of the commission it pays.
You can trust that every recommendation on The SaaS Worker is made on merit, not margin.
Our Review Criteria
Every tool we review is assessed against four criteria:
- Value for money — does the price match what you actually get?
- Ease of use — can a non-technical business owner use it without a developer?
- Time saved — does it meaningfully reduce the time spent on that task?
- Real problem solved — does it fix something that genuinely hurts small businesses?
